Saranda has loved Art since she was a child. That’s why she decided to become a full-time artist and study Art.

Saranda was born in Vitia -Kosova and finished high school in Mathematics and Computing in her hometown. She then moved on to study Art at the Academy of Fine Art at the University of Prishtina.

Saranda says: “When I don’t paint, I feel less in touch with myself, and I paint because I need to. Art is my life; my Art reflects the world I perceive and all the things that affect the way I am. I express in a figurative way, exploring with colors, techniques, and different lines. In most of her works, Saranda reflects Albanian women with clothes from different regions They reveal the greatness through golden accents and details. Also, Heroes are a part of her artistic world; in most of her paintings, she gives life with a stroke of a brush to Albanian national heroes.

-I paint what I know: figures, still life, landscape but often I see a wish about abstract art.
-I combine my love of color, form and line with oils and sometimes with acrylic. I usually paint direct on canvas and I enjoy the process of testing on canvas which helps me to leave some lines some colors underpainting. What I like is when the painting is finished and I can see the path of how the painting made this form step by step .

I start 4-5 painting at one time, and I don’t paint on them everyday, I want to analyze the painting and take time to combine things and I like each layers to be done when the painting is dry.
